Designed and implemented next generation Java interfaces for the MediaBase streaming media server product (now owned by Kasenna). Set corporate strategy as a member of the SGI Java business team. Selected as one of fifteen students worldwide to participate in the summer high performance computing program in Edinburgh, Scotland. Ported EM3D Fortran geophysics code to use taskfarming parallelism with the MPI message passing system. Designed application for heterogeneous Unix environment including Sun workstation clusters and a Cray T3D.

Created Compact Torus Computerized Tomography analysis routines for the Davis Diverted Torus fusion research project. Programmed simulations to determine optimum image reconstruction algorithms.
